8-Day Imperial Cities of Morocco Tour from Fes

Our 8-day journey from Fes to the Imperial Cities. We will start by exploring some remarkable sites in the city, including the Moulay Ismaïl Mausoleum and the Bab Mansour Gate. Then, visit Qara Prison. Next, head to Volubilis. After lunch, we will continue our 8-day tour of Morocco, from Fes to Rabat, the capital.

In the late afternoon, upon arrival in Rabat, visit the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. In the late afternoon, discover Rabat's superb beaches, then transfer to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Rabat, depart for Casablanca, the largest city in Morocco, enjoying the magnificent landscapes.

In Casablanca, visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest in Africa. After lunch, continue the journey to Marrakech, still admiring the superb panoramas. Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, a local guide will take you on a full day of discovery in Marrakech, exploring its rich history and vibrant culture. Your tour will begin with the discovery of some of the city's most iconic sites, such as the majestic Bahia Palace, a 19th-century masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, and the Saadian Tombs, a 17th-century royal necropolis showcasing refined craftsmanship.

You will then explore the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a historic Koranic school, and admire the Koutoubia Mosque, a remarkable 12th-century monument. Then, stroll through the lively souks of Marrakech, a shopper's paradise brimming with handicrafts, spices, textiles, and souvenirs, the ideal place to find gifts for your loved ones or a unique souvenir for yourself.

Enjoy a relaxing break in the peaceful Majorelle Gardens, an oasis of exotic plants and vibrant colors in the heart of the New City. Afterwards, you will cross the lively Djamaa Lfena square where you can enjoy various entertainments, including snake charmers, musicians, and storytellers. In the late afternoon, we will take you to your accommodation for the night.

In the morning, your journey will begin with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech, for an unforgettable drive to Ouarzazate. The adventure continues as you depart from Marrakech, through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N'Tichka pass, at an altitude of 2,260 meters. This picturesque route reveals charming villages nestled on the mountainside.

Your excursion then continues to Ouarzazate, through the arid stone desert, and culminates with a visit to the famous Kasbah of Aït-Ben-Haddou. This fortified village, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is famous for having served as a backdrop for numerous cinematic masterpieces, such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and The Mummy. You will then explore the Taourirt Kasbah and the famous film studios before reaching your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Ouarzazate, we will depart for the Dadès Gorges, enjoying the most beautiful landscapes. We will pass through Skoura, a town of a thousand kasbahs, where you will visit the famous Amerdile Kasbah, one of the oldest in the region. We will then continue our drive to Kalaat M'gouna, known as the city of roses, and visit a local cooperative for rose-based cosmetic products. Then, we will continue to Khemis Dadès. In the late afternoon, we will arrive at the Dadès Gorges. You will visit the famous "Monkey Fingers" rock formation and the winding road of Tisadrine before reaching your accommodation for the night.

In the morning, depart for the Todra Gorges, a remarkable site and a favorite spot for climbers. Explore the enchanting Todra Gorges and try climbing with a local guide (optional). Afterwards, drive to the Sahara Desert and Merzouga, allowing you to admire magnificent landscapes along the way. Stop in Melaab to visit a lively Berber market and immerse yourself in Berber culture.

Then, continue your journey to Erfoud, where you will feel the beginnings of the Saharan oasis. Visit a local museum. Then, head to Rissani to visit the Moulay Ali Chérif Mausoleum, before reaching the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival in the Sahara, embark on a camel trek through the magnificent dunes of Erg Chebbi and admire an unforgettable sunset. Arrive at the camp for a magical night under the stars, animated by drumming around the campfire.

Wake up early to admire a spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes and capture these moments. Then return to camp for breakfast and prepare for the adventure ahead. Then depart for Erfoud, famous for its dates. Continue your drive through the Ziz Valley and admire the lush palm trees of Tafilalt, then continue through the Tizi-N-Talghamt pass. Upon arrival in the picturesque town of Midelt, nestled in the heart of the Middle Atlas, soak in the surrounding scenery and stroll through the streets enjoying the breathtaking views. Transfer to your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast in Midelt, we will drive to the cedar forest, the largest in Morocco. You will then enjoy a scenic drive via Ifrane, nicknamed the "Little Switzerland of Morocco." We will then continue our drive to Fes, where we will drop you off at your accommodation or the airport. Your journey will then conclude with unforgettable memories.
